John Alleman, the inspiration for the restaurant's "Patient John" caricature that is featured on the menu and merchandise, suffered a heart attack last week while waiting at a bus stop in front of the eatery.

I have been to Heart Attack Grill a few years ago when there was one in the valley. Honestly, the Double Bypass Burger was not that bad, when I was eating it. I felt its wrath later. But where I was sitting, I was watching them make the fries, and decided to pass on that. All in all it is a fun place to experience; just to say you have been and ate their food. The waitresses in nurses’ outfits are a big motivation too.
Was anyone really surprised how Patient John went out? If you have been to Heart Attack Grill, could you see yourself having a heart attack if you ate there more than once?
Here is a photo from the time I went to Heart Attack Grill with a group of friends when there was one in Chandler. I'm the baldy on the right. That's 2010 e-roc.
