She Steals It, Then Returns It For Money

A woman who Chandler police describe as a transient was arrested after police suspect she stole items and attempted to return them for cash at a Chandler Walmart store.

Police said Ahja La Jaia Williams, 20, took items Tuesday from Walmart, 800 W. Warner Road, and then later returned them to the store’s service desk, hoping to get a cash refund.

According to a court document, Williams received $64 for items she had not purchased.

Williams told police she learned about the scheme from a friend.

Police said Williams provided officers with a false name and birth date when confronted.

Williams faces charges of fraudulent schemes and practices and false reporting to law enforcement, police said.

The concept was there, but needed a tweak. Personally, I would have gone to another Walmart, but I’m a criminal genius.

This story reminded me of all the times I returned random stuff to Walmart, mainly Christmas presents I didn’t want. Even if it wasn’t from Walmart they took it anyway. The biggest I’ve done is movies that were from Amazon. Tell us your biggest product return to Walmart that was not bought at Walmart.
