Arizona Republican John McCain, along with Senate colleagues Barbara Boxer and Olympia Snowe, will be making a cameo on the fifth season of "Parks and Recreation," NBC said in a press release, The Washington Post reports.
McCain et al will be trading cocktail party chatter with Pawnee, Ind., Councilwoman Leslie Knope (Emmy nominee Amy Poehler), who's in D.C. visiting Ben Wyatt (Adam Scott). The show has been shooting in the nation's capital yesterday and today. The Senate-starring episode will air in September.
On Thursday McCain tweeted, with accompanying on-set shot, that he "had a great time shooting @ParksandRecNBC today w/ Amy Poehler - I think it's an Emmy!"
