Two Mesa men were arrested Monday on burglary-related charges after they attempted to steal from two vending machines at a high school.

Police said Troy Alan Pritchett, 43, and Phuoc Thanh Nguyen, 18, broke into two vending machines at Red Mountain High School, 7301 E. Brown Road, Mesa.
The school is enclosed by a fence, and the two vending machines were in steel cages, police said.
According to a court document, Nguyen was the lookout while Pritchett used a long steel bar to break into the machines.
Police said the two fled to nearby Red Mountain Park, where they were found and arrested by officers.
Both Pritchett and Nguyen will face burglary and trespassing charges, police said.
What is this old guy doing hanging out with this kid? What was the motivation to go after "caged" vending machines?
I was class of 2007 at Skyline High School in Mesa, and had friends from Red Mountain. I remember I used to steal stuff from our vending machines. The guy restocking them would leave it open and we would have the kid with skinniest arms reach in and grab anything we want.
Anyone got any good memories from high school you used to do when no one was looking?
