Pleading guilty to his second DUI, Mark Grace will serve four months in jail under a work release program. During the day he will be able to help out with the Arizona Diamondbacks program and sleep at the jail at night. After his four months "behind bars" Grace will be under two years probation.
Grace was arrested last August in Scottsdale and was originally charged with multiple felonies. He plead not guilty in October and shortly after was fired from his job as an analyst for the Arizona Diamondbacks.
"Police said Grace was driving on a suspended license for a previous DUI charge from May 2011. Police also said the court-ordered ignition-interlock device was not in his vehicle"
Sentence: 4 months jail.
2 yrs supervised probation.
Granted work release.
So here's the question: If Mark Grace was not a celebrity, would his plea deal be any different?

themommiof4 - 4 months is pretty typical for your second DUI, what isn't typical is the work release. However, typically if you have work release, you are subject to full body search every time you re-enter the jail. So..... maybe that makes up for him being "out" during the day. I wasn't clear though, is he going to the DUI prison in Florence or downtown jail?
