A Chandler man was arrested after police said he stole a 24-pack of beer from a Circle K and fell asleep outside the store.
Police said Michael Edward Garcia, 43, is seen on surveillance footage shoplifting Sunday from the convenience store, 295 South Arizona Ave.
According to a court document, Garcia grabbed the pack of beer from the bottom of the cooler and walked out the front door without paying.
Police said Garcia was found sleeping on the ground behind the store. The remains of the 24-pack was found nearby, police said. Officers said Garcia was very intoxicated and uncooperative.
Garcia was cited and released, Chandler police said.
