The Arizona Diamondbacks have some cool things coming up in the not-too-distant future. Of course, August 25th Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers will be performing live after the game (and Shmonty has your tickets), but there's another event coming up on September 19th that I want to tell you about...
It's the 4th Annual Pain Awareness Night at the Park and Take Back Event!!! It's being hosted by the Power of Pain Foundation, a great organization whose mission is to educate and support Chronic Pain Patients, specifically those with Neuropathy Pain conditions. The event will bring together hundreds of pain patients, their caregivers and the healthcare professionals who treat them along with leaders in pain management, pain psychology and advocacy. The goal is to raise awareness of the challenges of living daily with a chronic pain condition.
This is also your chance to empty out your medicine cabinet. Bring your unneeded and unused medications to the Main Entrance/Plaza and they will be destroyed properly. They also have other events at the game including a Pain Expo and Invisible Project Display at the Beer Garden, a Children and Pain Expo at St. Joe’s Sandlot/Kids Area and a Resource Center for Power of Pain Foundation at the Community Clubhouse. Oh yeah, and the D-Backs are going to beat the Padres too!
