Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison has reportedly been tapped to record drums on the new Black Sabbath album and has been spotted arriving in England just yesterday.
When contacted, Tony Iommi’s management had no comment. But Ozzy himself was reached and stated:
“It’s supposed to be a secret. But Joey is a world class drummer, so sure, we’re glad to have him working on the new album with us.”
There’s no word as yet if Jordison will be touring with the band on the upcoming “Ozzy and Friends” dates or future Black Sabbath dates.
This development comes after no agreement could be reached with original Black Sabbath drummer Bill Ward and rumors abound that the gap is one of money.

ValTapia - To quote Ozzy himself "There is only one Black Sabbath:Ozzy Osbourne,Tony Iommi,Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward".That means the new album should be called "Ozzy and Friends" as well, like the upcoming tour, because it sure as **** won't be a true Black Sabbath album! Practice what you preach,Ozzy! That said, both the original lineup AND the Dio-era lineup are the only incarnations that truly deserve the Sabbath name. All the other lineups had some "shining" moments,(no pun intended) although I would never consider those albums Black Sabbath albums,I consider them Tony Iommi albums. Not a criticism, just an opinion! Anyway,Tony's health should be the first priority, not 3/4 of a Black Sabbath album! Thanks KDKB for the report!
