The former home of the Doors' Jim Morrison is among those damaged in a string of early-morning arson fires in Hollywood and West Hollywood on Friday, authorities said.
The fire at 8021 Rothdell Trail in West Hollywood broke out about 1:20 a.m.
Fire crews discovered a Mazda Miata on fire, and the blaze spread to a balcony and the front of the house, officials said.
It took 56 firefighters 35 minutes to put out the fire, which was contained to the front of the three-story home, authorities said.
The house, built in 1922, was famously the inspiration for the Morrison song "Love Street." It was listed last summer at $1.119 million.
Morrison once lived at the home with his girlfriend, Pamela Courson.
