The Dallas Cowboys, the perennial favorite football squad and dubbed "America's Team" back in the 70s, has fallen from the No. 1 position in the popularity polls. In October, a Harris Poll placed them at the top for the fifth consecutive year. And it's probably nothing that a few wins (not to mention a lot less Fourth Quarter choking) wouldn't correct but that remains to be seen. According to a new poll from Public Policy Polling, the Cowboys are now America's second favorite team. So who's first?
According to the poll, last year's Super Bowl champions, the Green Bay Packers, are now No. 1, making them "America's Team." And they're not in the spot by a arguable, margin-of-error amount, either. The Packers pulled in 22 percent of the vote. The Cowboys mustered 11 percent for second.
