That's what the industry tried to tag Billy Squier as. Certainly unfair to say the least. He was leading a band called Piper at the time. Piper released a couple of albums back in the day, and are most notable for being the band that A&M Records signed instead of Van Halen. How'd that work out? Billy wrote a bunch of great songs. Before he released the infamous video...he was considered a fairly cool Rock artist. Funny how MTV (an old cable TV channel that was once known for playing music videos) made so many bands' careers, and are known for ruining Billy's. Go figure.
