This past weekend, we lost a true musical legend. Of course, like most kids my age, my first exposure to Donald "Duck" Dunne of Booker T. & The MGs, was through this song...
I'd no idea who they were. But, I *did* know who the Blues Brothers were.
As I got older, I started to hear more about who this guy was, and the impact he truly made on Rock n' Soul music. His contributions to the great Stax recordings confirm what is clearly obvious even by hearing this one song: He was a blues legend, and true-to-form, on tour when he passed.
RIP "Duck." You were one o' the best!
