I think you've figured it out by now. I dig great guitar. There's something about the riff and fluidity of a great guitar player, that makes Rock for me. Don't get me wrong...Eddie Van Halen is not the same without Alex. And, Jimmy Page wasn't what he became pre-Bonham, and hasn't been close since. There's got to be a beat to riff to. But, the player makes the song. I could play you any riff, and it might sound like the song...but it's not the same.So, I'm sure you can appreciate when we rip in to a great guitarist too. Michael Schenker....is a great guitarist.
