Every once in a while, because I'm such a *huge* Van Halen fan, I'll get an e-mail, or call, asking me why I don't show Chickenfoot any love? Nothing could be further from the truth. I actually *dig* Chickenfoot a lot! I think they're a fantastic band, who deserve to be better received than they are. It just seems like they keep getting overlooked. Not sure why. No...they're not as great as Van Halen. But, why does it need to be a competition? Whay can't you love both bands? I say...You can!! Unfortunately, the 'foot are skipping Phoenix this time around. So, if you want to check 'em out, you're going to have to road trip down to Tucson. I know it's worth the run. Let's drop some Chickenfoot for today's Zia Records "Second Helping."
