So check it out…Everywhere you go, you’re being reminded of how important it is to thank a Veteran for their service. I couldn’t agree more! My father served in WWII. My stepfather is a SeaBee, who did 3 tours in ‘Nam. And, my little brother was in the Navy during the 1st Gulf War.
My family has always been appreciative of their efforts so that I may make jokes on the radio for over half my life.
I know there are tons of Vets who listen to KDKB every day. And, I recognize that their families also “serve” when their loved ones are away. So…when they came to me and asked if I’d be interested in taking part in the Veterans Tribute Ride & Family Festival on Saturday November 10th, I couldn’t say “yes” fast enough. I’m not sure we can ever do enough for our real heroes. However, I’ve found that most, don’t want any special recognition. They do what they do under a code I will never fully comprehend. All the more reason we should get out and show how much their efforts really mean. If you’re looking for an easy way to say “thanks,” while having a good time, join me on Saturday the 10th at Sanderson Ford. All the info is right on the flyer.
