NEANDERPICKS: WEAK III

As we waltz in to Week 3 of the season, I don’t believe I’ve ever had a week that’s been more poorly picked than last week. Holy mother of whomever! I was terrible. So far, this season, I’m as pathetic as my Raiders. Unlike my Raiders, I’m capable of turning this thing around and making a season of it. I’m also rooting hard for your Cardinals this week! I cannot hate Michael Vick enough, and as classless as this sentiment is, I sincerely hope his career comes to an end every week. It would make me feel *so* satisfied to see it happen here in my home-town. I played football up through the college level. I would never wish injury upon a player. Michael Vick is the *one* exception. That’s how little I think of him. We all know what he did. Some say he paid his debt. As a dog owner, I don’t believe he can ever undo, or apologize for his acts. I’ll remain angry at him forever. If that makes me a bad human being…I can live with that.

Off the soapbox. Let’s talk FOOTBALL!

Buccaneers at Cowboys: I’m becoming a believer in Tampa. However, Dallas are at home. And Tampa has to deal with the blowback from last week. Taking the ‘boys.

Jaguars at Colts: Andrew Luck showed that jump I was expecting later in the season, last week. Indy’s at home. Colts.

Bills at Browns: Cleveland sucks. No other way to put it. Tough team with a decent RB. But, they’re Cleveland & I cannot put faith in them. Buffalo.

Jets at Dolphins: Remarkably better game than it should be. Despite them making my Raiders look like NAU, I’m not yet a believer in Miami. The Jesters should take them apart.

Chiefs at Saints: OK Chiefs fans…I tried. But it’s true and you know it: The Kansas City Chiefs are a *bad* football team. And here’s the thing…it ain’t the personnel on the field (although Cassel & Bowe are garbage). It’s honestly the personnel in the front office & coaching staff. Ultimately, it’s Clark Hunt. He’s nowhere near the owner his father was. You might be in for prolonged futility as long as Clark runs this team. This is a truth you probably hate to hear. But, it’s still the truth. Having lived there, I can tell you; KC is a great city with rabid football fans who love their team. They deserve better than what they have. What they have…is a horrible football team. Players win. Franchises lose. I’ve watched it with my Raiders for over a decade now. I know of what I speak. Take off the blinders Chiefs fans. Your team is perpetual disappointment.

Bengals at Redskins: Bungles have improved. RGIII is the ROY already. And that ‘Skins D…pretty good. And they’re at home. Washington.

Rams at Bears: Good game. I believe in Bradford more than Cutler. Rams on the road in an upset.

49ers at Vikings: Niners. Too good. This might be the year of the return of SF.
Lions at Titans:  Lions. Tennessee is a lot like the Cardinals. Something is missing & it’s tough to put a finger on it. I think Detroit are rising. They should win this easily.

Falcons at Chargers: Possible game of the week. Atlanta look to be reaching their potential. I’ve thought them to be a contender in the NFC for the past 2 years. If they are, they have to beat SD in their own house. I think they do.

Eagles at Cardinals: I want the Cardinals to win. Philadelphia is really lucky to be 2-0. If Vick keeps making the mistakes he’s made in the first 2 weeks…Cards. Screw it…I’m taking them! Don’t screw me Kevin Kolb!!!

Steelers at Raiders: You know I’m a massive Oakland Raiders fan. Based on what I’ve seen the past 2 weeks, they will be lucky to win 3 games this season. Mark that down. 3-13. POSSIBLY 4-12 at best. Terrible coach. Terrible DBs. Terrible WRs. And, a RB who’s never played a full season, and looks confused and tired already. Pittsburgh. Big.

Texans at Broncos: The changing of the guard continues. Houston are on the rise. Manning rarely has two bad games in a row. Game of the week. Taking Denver at home.

Patriots at Ravens: Boy did the Replaytriots get exposed last week or what? That Offensive Line is not good. The Patriots are fading from the status of “elite” team, to “very good team.” Baltimore are more cohesive right now as a unit, and at home. Taking the Ravens.

Packers at Seahawks: Discount-double check! Aaron Rodgers’ leadership was questioned by one of his WRs agent. Really? Rodgers has the team. He’s one of the best in the game. But, I bet he’s still pissed at the idea. Watch this…Green Bay. Big.

That’s how I see Week 3!  And of course…Fear the Fork! Big game for the ‘Devils. I
