Ok...so here's the thing...Whitesnake are an awesome band. They got caught up in the "image" thing in the mid-80's. And honestly, they are absolutely to blame for being labeled a "hair band." In fact...I think it's actually damaged their legacy overall. The older stuff with Mel Galley is great. Then, John Sykes took it to a completely different level. And of course, today Doug Aldrich continues the tradition of great Whitesnake music. However...all of that being said. THIS version of Whitesnake was the one that just went so far beyond in terms of live performance, that it may be the reason Coverdale doesn't get the credit he deserves. I dig Whitesnake. Even this version. And even if they're doing a song written long before the players perfoming it were even in the band. Dig some "Slide It In!"
