Here's the thing...*I* never thought of these guys as a "Hair Band." Somehow, they got lumped in with that lot though. Most likely, due to this song. I call this "the curse of 'more than words'." When Extreme had a huge hit with that one, suddenly every record company wanted their version of it. Enter, Miami's Saigon Kick. These guys had already released a bad-ass self-titled debut CD that incorporated elements of everything from Jane's Addiction to The Beatles. As you can guess, it was tough to put into any category, and back then, everything needed a label. And every label wanted a power-ballad/pop crossover hit. So...Saigon Kick went in and recorded this track for their 2nd CD "The Lizard" and had their only real "hit" with this song. I'd highly suggest you find their debut CD. It is absolutely cool. This song is clearly not representative of the capabilities of this band. However...it is perfect for "Ladies Skate." So...Enjoy!!!
