A note from KDKB Program Director, Paul Marshall…
As you’ve probably heard (based upon several not-so-subtle statements made on-air), there have been rumors of KDKB’s demise circulating. We certainly haven’t done anything to refute them. There’s a saying that “any press is good press,” and we’re overwhelmed by the outpouring of concern from the Valley (and beyond!)
It’s time for these rumors to be cleared up.
The parent company of KDKB (Sandusky Radio) was recently purchased by another broadcasting company, called Hubbard Broadcasting Inc. As such, after 27 years, they will no longer be running KDKB. We’ve all made light of this transition by proclaiming our imminent firing.
Although *technically* true (as the new owners take over, we all cease to be employed by our prior employers), nothing changes but the name on the stationary.
I know I speak for everyone here at KDKB, when I thank Sandusky Radio for all they’ve done for everyone here. It’s been a great run, and we’re all appreciative for the opportunity to play with your toys for all these years.
We also welcome our new radio overlords to the Valley, and look forward to a long and mutually distracting relationship. You asked for it…
KDKB will continue to do what we’ve done for 42 years (and counting). Everybody’s fine. Life is good. And again, we’re all humbled by the concern.
Thank you for being the best, most loyal listeners any radio station could ever hope for.
Let the nonsense, continue unabated.
Thanks For Listening!
