RANDOM THOUGHTS

What up, y'all?  Been awhile, so I figured I'd blog random thoughts I've had lately....

As I sit here typing, I'm watching a bad-ass show on Discovery called "Monster Bug Wars!"...reminds me as a kid, making my own "wars", like throwing a black widow into an ant's nest, or various insects into a spider's web, watching what happens...usually, the outcome was exactly what you'd expect, so no real surprises but this show is pretty damn cool!

Think you're tough?  Think you could walk the Amazon from start to finish?  Ed Stafford did it, and it was absolutely amazing!!!  This dude was as crazy as he was tough, but the mofo did it, and you gotta see it--absolutely amazing (yes I said that before but it's true)!!!

One night channel surfing, I came upon one of those late-night pay channels, like Skinemax or whatever...this particular show focused on porn stars, etc.  There was this chick, who got into porn, then broke the "cardinal rule"--don't fall in love with another actor.  So, out of "respect" for her new boyfriend, she decides to just do girl-on-girls scenes, and declares something like "I may be a porn star but I have my morals"...that's EXACTLY what I was thinking when she was getting gang-banged by a group of chicks sportin' dildos, strap-ons and latex fists!!! YOU GO GIRL!!!

So, I gotta give props to Steve from the Pollack building behind us--that dude is the Grillmaster!!!  I love that guy (platonically, of course) cuz he hooks me up with steak, chicken, fish...sometimes ribs...just a very cool guy that loves to cook. BUT, there are times I order out, and one place I order from is Red Dragon in Chandler.  Pretty good NY style Chinese, and one of my faves is their BBQ spare ribs (bone-in). Thing is though, however they are cookin' em, they turn my poop red. HA, ironic that RED Dragon turns my poop red, right?  But who cares, they be TASTY!!!

Thank God for pets--particularly dogs, cuz you can blame farts on dogs...truly man's best friend!!!

NEW RELEASES:  One of my fave bands is Scorpions, and they recently released "COMEBLACK", which is a combo of "classics" re-recorded, and some covers.  Gotta be honest, for the most part, I'm a bit disappointed...most of the re-recorded "classics" can't touch the originals, and the covers are kinda mixed--T. Rex and Soft Cell (yes really) are pretty cool, but you should just check 'em out for yourself. I WAS pleasantly surprised with the new Van Halen, "A Different Kind of Truth"....

Rumor had had it that the new VH was pretty much rehashed material from WAY back in the day, which by the way Sammy Hagar had pointed out in various interviews.  APPARENTLY, the aliens told him this when he was abducted, and you know what?  They were RIGHT!  And you know what?  It pretty much works-I still need to listen to it front to back again, but there are some really cool tunes on there, and I definitely recommend you check it out!
