Welllllll, it's been awhile, hasn't it? I figured I should blog about my Monsters of Rock Cruise experience which, by the way, was pretty cool!!!
So here's the deal: a BIG-ASS boat, 3 days, and a bunch of rock n roll...sounds good, don't it? In fact, it's gonna happen again next year, so start planning now, but I digress...back to the present. My GF and I flew down to Ft. Lauderdale to jump on the boat, which would then take off to Key West, then the Bahamas, then back to Ft. Lauderdale, all the while band after band would be rockin' various stages on the boat.
Speaking of bands, here's who played: TESLA, CINDERELLA, NIGHT RANGER, UFO, KIX, STRYPER, FIREHOUSE, Y&T, LYNCH MOB, HELIX, ERIC MARTIN, KEEL, BLACK n BLUE, FASTER PUSSYCAT, JOHN CORABI, BANG TANGO, RHINOBUCKET, XYZ, ODIN, FLAMETAL, DC4 and ATOMIC PUNKS!!! The problem with having all these bands, was that they often overlapped each other, so it was hard to see EVERY band. Also, some of the venues were the little "clubs" and they kinda sucked...low stages/ceilings and they could get HOT!!!
One thing I gotta say is, all the bands sounded really good! And what was cool, most of them would wander around and actually mingle with the "regular" folk. It was refreshing to see "rock stars" watching other "rock stars" perform...not a whole lot of ego or attitude!!! Come to think of it, there were more dudes trying to LOOK and ACT like rock stars, and all that did was make them look even douchier...oh well!!!
Some other mammaries, er memories...NO, mammaries--there was this chick with boobs twice as big as my fat head, so you know that's pretty damn big!!! LOOK!!!!
Can you say FLOATATION DEVICE??
Here's a vid of our boy George Lynch and Lynch Mob!!!
