Well, it actually happened...the much anticipated GnR/Sebastian Bach show last night (12/27/11) at Comerica Theatre!!! Thousands of KDKB rockers showed up, stood in a BIG-ASS line, then finally filed into Comerica for a night of kick-ass rock and roll!
Sebastian Bach took the stage with pretty much the same line-up as the last time he was here, save for one Nick Sterling (guitar)...sound familiar? Well, he's what, 21 and from right here in the valley! Dude can rock, has solid backing vocals and Bas stated he writes the best music with him. My one opinion on the dude is he needs to eat some more, and being from the valley, get out in the sun, man. BUT, he rocked, as did the rest of the killer band and Bas sounded AWESOME!!!
The set included "Big Guns", "Piece Of Me", "I Remember You", "18 And Life", "Youth Gone Wild", "Monkey Business" plus newer material like "American Metalhead" and "Kickin' And Screamin'".
So, the BIG question of the night was what time would Axl actually take the stage--well, I gotta tell you, he surprised me!!! GnR took the stage at approx. 11:04; I had predicted 11:30. They opened with "Chinese Democracy" then went right into "Welcome To The Jungle" and "It's So Easy". Pretty cool way to kick things off; add in killer pyro n such and cool lights, etc. it was a "Better" (missed that song) show than I expected, and the crowd seemd pleased. OH, and Axl didn't look too fat, actually...I was impressed! Don't know about that 'stache, though....
