Hairball-On-Demand

If you listen, you know already…*this* is my favorite music. I have always loved the Hard Rock-Hair Bands & what they used to call Heavy Metal back in the day.  One of the most frequent questions I get via e-mail (neanderpaul@kdkb.com) is; “When are you gonna do another ‘Bad Haircut Weekend’?”

Truth be told, if we played nothing but that stuff, I’d be all good with it. It’s the stuff I grew up on.

However, it’s a different world now. So many musical styles have fragmented what we know as Rock. If we didn’t play the biggest variety of those different flavors or Rock, we would be ignoring too many great tunes, and limit the real appeal of KDKB.

But, I *know* this stuff still holds a huge place in the hearts of Valley rock fans.  The rest of the country hears it every Saturday Night too, when Dee Snider plugs KDKB during his weekly national radio show “House of Hair” (Saturday nights @9). KDKB is one of the best “House” affiliates in America. Dee loves us.

Weekday afternoons, I roll out a track from the stiff-coif era in the form of the “4:20 Hairball.” It is (by far) the most popular feature on the show. I get shellacked with requests for tunes every day. I do my best to get ‘em all in. And then, it hit me…

Let’s do a version of the “Hairball” on KDKB.com! It’s an on-demand world. And now, you can get even more of that music you crave…on demand…Every week. Plus, we don’t have to please anyone but the Valley. So, if you want a KEEL song. Or, some Icon…we can roll that. No problem! it's *NOT THE SAME OLD HARD ROCK!*

Think of it as our very own <insert trademarked defunct late-night Saturday Hard Rock video show from a cable TV network that no longer plays videos…but still has a law firm that will sue us if we use the name of the show,  here>. I’ll put together (at least) an hour-long show for you every week. And, if the demand is there, we’ll extend it to two. Why not?
