As you have probably already heard, Van Halen are postponing 31 concert dates (NOT the Phoenix show) with no explanation why.
I am seeing in the media, as well as on Facebook, speculation as to why, but it seems that none of the Authors of these storys have read Eddie Van Halens ONLY interview in years, given to Esquire just this year.
In that interview, Eddie says that the shows that they had to postpone during the 07 tour, as well as the big gap between that tour and the new VH album, were due to reaccurances of his tounge Cancer, as well as serious health issues caused by medication given to him to help him stop drinking. He said that he had to have surgery once again on his tounge, as well as his throat!
Now, I'm not saying that for sure this is the reason that they are coming off the road for a few months and postponing 31 dates (None have been rescheduled) but as they just added 8 new shows last week, I seriously doubt the "Dave and Ed are fighting" or "Eds drinking again" rumors are true (He has NO problem playing drunk, did it for 35 years LOL) but to come off the road and reschedule so many shows, it must be something pretty damn important, you think?
My Prayers are with the VH camp, hoping its nothing more then "Dave forgot he has a Doctors Appt that day!"
