Stargazer - First Meteor Shower of 2012

It’ll be a Rock n’ Roll light show early this morning with the first meteor shower of 2012! The Quadrantid shower is considered one of the best meteor showers of the year and thanks to mother nature we have clear skies this evening/morning making it perfect for watching this event.

The best time to enjoy this is 3 am - 5 am, just after the moon sets. So before you go to bed or just as you are getting up, head outside and look to the sky!

Where in the sky will I find these shooting stars? Look to the North-East and find the Big Dipper. Focus just below the Dipper's handle. On average you should see one shooting star per minute. Of course, if you’re in the city it will be less, so drive out to the middle of No-Where or Darksville, crank 93.3 KDKB, and enjoy the light show!

Enjoy the meteor show and please report back to me if you see any UFOs!
