(I do not endorse this store or site. I have no idea if they are a reputable business or not. They just had this model covered in paint.)
The propeller-hats at MIT discovered a way to save Mother Earth. (You're still looking at the paintball chick...I understand.) Instead of sending Bruce Willis and Ben Afleck into space to stop impending death from an asteroid the size of Texas, they can now stay home and look after Liv Tyler. (Movie reference: Armageddon)
The new solution to stop asteroids from slamming into the planet is to launch five tons of paintballs full of white powder towards the rock, 20 years in advance. The force of the balls hitting the asteroid will push it off course, and reflectivity of the white paint; thanks to photons, will over time force the asteroid away from Earth.
Sounds like a simple solution. Now...how do you get five tons of paintballs into space and plan it 20 years in advance? I'll leave that up to Billy Bob Thorton and the geeks at NASA.

You don't have to be afraid of asteroids anymore!

(I'll endorse NASA. Any agency looking for life on other planets is cool with me.)
