Hole singer Courtney Love feels that Kermit the Frog and the Muppets "raped" the memory of her late husband Kurt Cobain by bastardizing Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit." Here's the TMZ story. I haven't seen the 2011 Muppet's movie but from what I've gathered she's pissed about the barbershop scene with Jack Black. Courtney Love feels the song was used without her permission.

Back in 2005 Love sold the rights to Nirvana's catalog. Primary Wave Music (PWM) has legal standing to license the song but before they granted permission to use it in the movie, PWM obtained permission from Nirvana's surviving members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic.
