It should have been a night of entertainment and relaxation for 3,200 passengers and 1,000 person crew on board the Costa Concordia cruise liner, but it turned in to an evening of chaos! Around dinner the lights suddenly went out, the ship tilted to one side and an foreboding scraping sound was heard. The Costa Concordia had run aground on a sand bar off Italy's Mediterranean coast.
