Like so many studios The Compound in Signal Hill, CA has been digging deep into debt for a few years now and they considered closing the doors for good. Until word got around and they brainstormed the idea of creating a compilation record to raise funds and raise awareness.
Pearl Jam's Mike McCready is part of this compilation and said, "My favorite recording studio in California is The Compound. The owner, Anthony Arvizu, is an excellent drummer, producer, and engineer. I always get great sounds in this cool building. I have worked on several scoring sessions here including an episode of Hawaii 5-0, a Lance Armstrong documentary and a current production that is not yet named. I highly recommend any artist check it out."
