Free Fall Daredevil

Take a weather balloon, a spacesuit, and you can break the sound barrier. Over 24 miles above the ground, Felix Baumgartner has broken the record for highest-ever sky dive. He plummeted to Earth at over 833.9 mph becoming the first man to intentionally break the sound barrier after jumping from a capsule positioned in the stratosphere. His free fall lasted for 4 minutes and 19 seconds which is almost the length of Tom Petty's song 'Free Fallin.' More here: www.redbullstratos.com

65 years to this day, Chuck Yeager first broke the sound barrier in the experimental Bell X-1 rocket. Isn't it amazing what we're doing six and a half decades later?
