Bob Dylan - Presidential Medal of Freedom

President Obama awards the Medal of Freedom to Bob Dylan saying, “There is not a bigger giant in the history of American music.” Adding that his voice helped redefine, "not just what music sounded like, but the message it carried and how it made people feel."

The Presidential Medal of Freedom is given by the president of the United States to honor individuals who have made great contributions to either the United States or the world. This honor is comparable to the Congressional Gold Medal bestowed by an act of U.S. Congress—the highest civilian award in the United States.
