U.S. Homeland Security posted this video last Friday. This video will help better prepare you for an Active Shooter Situation aka A.S.S. (I didn't make the video, our tax money did.) It will probably go viral in the next few days considering the content and the terrible wording Homeland came up with to describe a crazed gunman at your workplace.
In this video the narrator says, "If you are caught out in the open and cannot conceal yourself or take cover, you might consider trying to overpower the shooter with whatever means are available,” which shows an office worker pulling scissors out of a desk drawer.

The instructive video reviews the choices of evacuating, hiding, or, as an option of last resort, challenging the shooter. The video also shows how to assist authorities once law enforcement enters the scene.
