Dunlop TV was invited up to Portland, Oregon's Roseland Theater on July 12 to document the launch of Slash's 2012 North American tour that celebrates the release of "Apocalyptic Love", the new album he recorded with his touring band, MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS. Dunlop's Bryan Kehoe caught up with Slash right before soundcheck to discuss the former GUNS N' ROSES guitarist's new project as well as his new signature Dunlop gear that was utilized on the album and on the road.
During a new interview with RollingStone.com, Slash revealed that he is already looking ahead to recording his next album, to feature the same band with which he made the current "Apocalyptic Love" CD. "We've got the tour that's gonna go into next year, we're starting work on the next record," Slash said.
Slash and MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS — Myles Kennedy (vocals), Brent Fitz (drums), Todd Kerns (bass) and Frank Sidoris (guitar) — announced a fall headlining tour starting September 4 in San Diego, California and wrapping October 3 in Los Angeles, California.
