Of the big three stars of the original Star Wars trilogy, Luke, Leia, and Han, only Harrison Ford has yet to sign on fully for the upcoming sequel saga. The iconic actor has remained tight lipped about the entire project and even said he had "not quite made the choice" on whether or not he would once again take up the mantle of everyone's favorite smuggler.
Well rumor has it that Ford might be willing to reprise the role if there is another Indiana Jones film to go along side it. The rumor states:
"Ford wanted a commitment to Indy 5. He did not get this as there is no plot line or script in place. What did happen was an agreement was made wherein an outline would be developed by the end of calendar year 2014, and if all parties can agree to it moving forward, efforts would be made to move on Indy 5 for release before 2016."
Now once again this is floating around the rumor bin and should not be treated as official until Disney, Lucasfilm, or another official group comments and confirms this. But it is an interesting thing to talk about to say the least.
While many were not happy with the last Indy excursion, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, it did bring in over 750 million dollars, so the money may still be there for suture installments. Ford's want for future Indy films has also been made clear in several interviews throughout the year, so perhaps there is some validity to the rumor. Will it happen? Will we want another Indy film? Would it be worth it to have Han Solo back? Only time will tell.
