A new trailer for the highly anticipated 2014 release X-Men: Days of Future Past has just come out and it looks promising. And while it's true that all trailers are meant to look promising, but I'm hoping with the talent behind this one, things will be different.
The most recent installments of the X-Men franchise have almost sustained on Hugh Jackman's portrayal of iconic character Wolverine, and it had been doing very well financially if not critically. X-Men: Days of Future Past however, brings back much of the original cast and crew from the first few installments of the series that had disappeared as of late; most notably Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, and director Bryan Singer. However there is also a great deal of new talent on board as well such as Academy Award winning actress Jennifer Lawrence, and Emmy winner Peter Dinklage.
Fans no doubt know of the story line behind Days of Future Past but for those of you who don't essentially the X-men find themselves trying to prevent a possible future in which all mutants are incarcerated in internment camps after a specific event triggers massive anti-mutant fears. The storyline is one of X-Men's most popular and the first installment is often considered one of the greatest Marvel comics of all time. So it's nice to see nearly every member of the main cast, the director, and the original comic writers get on board to make the film.
X-Men: Days of Future Past hits theaters May 23rd, 2014.
